Where can you get roll-up banners printed in London?

020 3375 6674 info@silverimagelondon.com Open 24 hours, 7 days a week — call or email and we will tell you what is possible today.

From our own London press, at any hour. Roll-up banners — the same cassette stand sold as pull-ups and roller banners — printed 24 hours a day, 85 × 200 cm as standard with cassette, pole and carry bag included. Files and payment in by 21:00 are normally ready before 9am, and jobs arriving earlier in the day are regularly finished the same afternoon; a £95 minimum applies to work produced outside normal hours.

Roll-ups are the workhorse of the trade: cheap enough to order for one event, quick enough to replace the day before, light enough to carry on the tube. Most of what goes wrong with them happens in the artwork, not the printing — which is the part this page is most useful for.

Delivery to shows is routine — roll-ups to Olympia and ExCeL are among the most regular runs on the book, timed for the build-up. Product specifications sit on the roller banner page.

Is a roll-up the same as a pull-up?

Yes — roll-up, pull-up and roller banner all describe the same cassette stand, and no supplier means anything different by them. Where the names do matter is the material underneath: vinyl or fabric, which changes cost, finish and how many shows it survives. That comparison sits in the roll-up versus pull-up guide.

What ruins a roll-up, and how to avoid it

Three things, in order of frequency. Content too low in the design — the bottom stretch disappears into the cassette. Images pulled from a website — fine on screen, soft at two metres tall. Too much text — a roll-up is read walking past, not sitting down. The rescue case is instructive: a “print-ready” file that turned out to be a mock-up was rebuilt here and still delivered a day early. Full set-up rules are in the large-format artwork guide.

Checklist before you send the file

Six things, thirty seconds: final size correct for the stand, CMYK rather than RGB, 3 mm bleed all round, fonts outlined, nothing critical in the bottom stretch of the design, and every image sharp at full size rather than on screen. If you want a needed-it-yesterday option too, same-day and overnight roller banner printing covers the tightest windows.

Send the file to info@silverimagelondon.com with the size, the deadline and the delivery address — or use WeTransfer for anything large. A problem spotted at 21:00 costs nothing; the same problem at 07:00 costs the deadline, so thirty seconds in our free preflight checker is worth it — it reads the file in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
