Canvas Printing London
020 3375 6674 info@silverimagelondon.com Open 24 hours, 7 days a week — call or email and we will tell you what is possible today.
Gallery-quality canvas prints for exhibitions, presentations and interior displays, on stretched or rolled canvas, produced same-day at our 24/7 London facility. Printed on 380 g/m² cotton-blend canvas and hand-stretched over solid pine here, not shipped in from a factory. Sizes up to A0 and larger to order. Finished canvases are couriered stretched and ready to hang, most often to homes and galleries in Mayfair and Chelsea.
Every job is quoted on its specification. Send us yours and we will come back with a firm figure.
Canvas prints we have produced
| Choice | What it is | How it looks | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 18 mm bar | Slim pine stretcher | Sits close to the wall, reads like a framed print | Office corridors, groups of panels, anywhere flush is wanted |
| 38 mm bar | Deep pine stretcher | Stands off the wall and casts a shadow line | Large single pieces, reception walls, anything meant to dominate |
| Gallery wrap | Image continues over the edge | No border — the picture carries round the side | Photographs and artwork with room to lose at the edges |
| Mirrored edge | Edge is a mirrored strip of the image | Nothing from the picture is lost | Logos, text, group photos — anything you cannot crop |
The edge decision is the one people regret, not the depth. A gallery wrap loses 18 mm or 38 mm of picture on every side — fine on a landscape, fatal on a group photo where someone is standing near the frame. Where the image has text, a logo or a face close to the edge, ask for the mirrored edge and nothing is cropped.
Artwork specifications
Bleed, safe margins, colour, resolution, file format
Canvas is unforgiving of upscaling — see the largest size your photo supports.
| Requirement | What we need | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Bleed | Bar depth plus 20 mm on every edge | The canvas wraps round the stretcher, so the bleed is not decorative here — it is the part that disappears round the side. An 18 mm bar needs 38 mm, a 38 mm bar needs 58 mm. |
| Safe margin | Faces, text and logos well inside the wrap line | Anything within the bar depth of the edge ends up on the side of the canvas, not the front. |
| Colour mode | CMYK, not RGB | Canvas is matt and absorbs more ink than paper, so saturated RGB blues and greens land noticeably duller. Send Pantone references for brand colours. |
| Resolution at final size | 150–300 dpi at the finished size | Canvas texture is forgiving, so 150 dpi at A0 is usually fine where the same file would look soft on gloss paper. Below that it shows. |
| File format | PDF, TIFF or high-quality JPEG | We accept virtually any format and check every file in-house before production. Phone photographs are usually fine up to A2 — we will say if yours is not. |
| Split panels | Say how many panels and the gap between them | A triptych is three separate stretchers. The gap has to be designed in, or the image reads as broken rather than split. |
Before you upload
- Send the largest original you have — not a version resized for email
- Add bleed equal to the bar depth plus 20 mm
- Keep faces, text and logos away from the wrap line
- Say whether you want a gallery wrap or a mirrored edge
- Say which bar depth, 18 mm or 38 mm
- Tell us the finished size on the wall, not the file size
Send the file even where there is doubt about it. We check resolution, colour and the wrap allowance before anything goes on press, and where a fix is small it is usually just done. On canvas the one thing worth checking twice is the edge: a crop cannot be undone once the canvas is stretched.
Canvas printing
Transform your digital photos into stunning wall art with our same-day canvas printing. We print high-resolution images onto premium cotton-blend canvas and stretch them by hand over solid pine here in London — the same afternoon the file arrives, where the job needs it.
This is the solution for last-minute corporate gifts, office branding in Central London, or personalised presents. Unlike cheap online prints, we hand-stretch every canvas locally, which is also why an urgent order is possible at all: the rolls, the bars and the stretching happen in one building rather than across three suppliers.
Where a canvas is the wrong answer we will say so. A print that will be moved between venues is better on foam board, which does not dent. Work that needs to survive outdoors belongs on PVC banner or Dibond. Canvas earns its place indoors, on a wall, where the texture and the absence of glare are the whole point — a framed poster behind glass will reflect every ceiling light in the room, and a canvas will not.

Key facts: ordering tonight
- Open 24 hours, 7 days a week, including Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays.
- Print production runs 24/7; the walk-in counter serves the day and evening, and the status bar at the top of the page shows live whether it is open right now.
- Files and payment received by 21:00 → overnight production for delivery before 9am the next morning, subject to that night’s capacity; we confirm at quotation whether the run fits.
- No fixed overnight cap: tell us the quantity and we say at quotation whether it can be done in time.
- Overnight jobs are normally couriered to arrive before your office opens; collection is arranged around your arrival time — call before you set off after 8pm so the job is bagged and waiting at the counter.
- No minimum for walk-in jobs during the day — one copy is a normal job. Out-of-hours collection or delivery carries a £95 minimum plus courier if required.
- Same-day and overnight courier delivery across London, most often EC1–EC4, W1, WC1–WC2, E14 and SW1.
- Exhibition delivery to ExCeL, Olympia, the Business Design Centre and other venues: send us the hall, your stand number, the named person on the stand and their mobile, and the build-day or opening time you need it by; we deliver to the stand.
- Send what you have: we check the artwork before anything goes on press and tell you what to fix; a print-ready PDF (CMYK, 3 mm bleed) is the fastest route.
- Quotes come with a secure payment link — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Klarna; production starts once payment is in.
- Courier delivery within London is usually in the region of £35–45, depending on the postcode and which courier is free; the exact figure is on your quote and is added to the job price.
- A proof is available on request; when we design the artwork you always get a final proof to approve. Print-ready files are printed on site and our operator checks the run against a printed proof sample before it leaves.
- Before we accept an urgent job we look at what could go wrong with the file, the stock and the finishing, and plan so that a reprint would still fit inside your deadline.
- Every order has a dedicated member of staff and an agreed completion deadline; we do not run an e-commerce queue, so the time we give you is for your job.
- Bank transfer is accepted alongside the payment link: tell us when you have sent it — the job goes to production once accounts confirm it has arrived.
- Outside London and towards the M25 courier costs more: we check with the couriers and confirm the price with you before booking.
- Hand-stretching, backing tape and a ready-to-hang bracket apply to stretched canvas orders, not rolled canvas prints.
