Correx is the trade name for fluted twinwall polypropylene: two flat printable skins over a corrugated core, which is why a full 8×4 sheet weighs almost nothing yet holds its shape on a fence line. It is waterproof through and through — not coated, but plastic all the way — and cheap enough to treat as a consumable, which is exactly what temporary signage should be.
We print direct to the board with UV-curable ink. The ink cures instantly under the lamps, so it comes off the flatbed dry, scratch-resistant and ready to cut — no laminating stage, no paper mounted on top to peel in the rain. The semi-matt surface stays readable under floodlights and low winter sun, which matters more on a site entrance than any amount of gloss.
Where it goes: construction sites — safety notices, contractor boards, RAMS and mandatory signage cable-tied to fencing; property marketing — T-boards and slotted boards; events — wayfinding arrows, entrance boards and stall signage for venues and parks; and security — CCTV and warning notices on gates and scaffolding.

The press is a UV flatbed with high-opacity white alongside CMYK, printing direct to the sheet at native 1200×720 dpi. Because the board never leaves the building between printing and finishing, the same job carries straight on to:
Contour cutting on the Zünd — arrows, logo shapes, slotted agent boards, anything a vector path describes. Eyelets — 11 mm, corners or every 500 mm on larger perimeters, ready for cable ties. Drilling — 4 mm corner holes for screw fixing to timber or brick, with penny washers recommended so the head cannot pull through the flutes. Score-folding — creased channels so a board wraps a square post or stands as a self-supporting triangle.
Which thickness: 3.5 mm when you need hundreds of short-lived placards and unit cost decides; 4 mm for anything on scaffolding, fencing or posts — the default for site work; 5 mm when the panel is large and unsupported, or staying out beyond a year.
Correx is a same-day material here: sheets are in stock, the ink cures instantly and the cutting happens on the same floor. A file sent in the morning is normally finished the same afternoon — and because the workshop is staffed through the night, files and approval by 21:00 are printed overnight for a morning delivery, subject to capacity and the size of the run. There is no fixed cut-off: capacity decides, so call at any hour and you will get a straight yes or no on your deadline.
Courier delivery runs across Central London — the City, West End, Canary Wharf and Southwark are daily routes — typically within 1 hour of dispatch. Collection from the counter is available around the clock, which is how site managers pick up compliance signage before a morning inspection.
One honest boundary: we print, cut and finish — we do not install. Boards leave here with the fixings prepared to your spec; fitting is yours or your contractor’s.

Mounted flat against a hoarding or wall, Correx does not snap. On open mesh fencing or a single post the board can fold along its internal flutes, so we orient the flutes vertically and recommend 4mm or 5mm sheet. A board that folds in wind is almost always a flute-direction problem, not a material problem.
Correx is fluted polypropylene: very light, low cost, waterproof, rated 6 to 12 months outdoors, and the right board for fences, hoardings and anything temporary. Foamex is solid PVC foam: heavier, completely flat and better looking close up, the right board for indoor and sheltered positions. If it goes on a fence, it is Correx; if it goes in a reception, it is Foamex.
The master sheet is 2440 by 1220 mm, printed edge to edge. Anything larger is produced as tiled sheets designed to butt together, which is how long site runs and perimeter boards are done.
We punch 11 mm eyelets in the corners, or every 500 mm along the perimeter on larger boards, and the sign cable-ties through them. For timber or brick we drill 4 mm corner holes for screw fixing instead. Say which fixing you are using when you order and the holes go where they are needed.
Yes to both. Correx is polypropylene, recycling category 5, and clean boards are accepted by most commercial waste contractors. Because the UV ink is scratch-resistant and the board is waterproof, signs can also be taken down, wiped clean and reinstalled several times before they look tired.
