Who does same-day and overnight A0/A1 board printing in London?

020 3375 6674 info@silverimagelondon.com Open 24 hours, 7 days a week — call or email and we will tell you what is possible today.

A production printer that mounts boards in the same building it prints them. We produce A1 and A0 boards on 3 mm and 5 mm Foamex 24 hours a day in London: Files and payment in by 21:00 are normally ready before 9am, and jobs that arrive earlier in the day are regularly finished the same afternoon. Delivery across London, with express runs of about an hour into Central London; a £95 minimum applies to work produced outside normal hours.

Boards are the format that goes wrong quietest: the file looks fine on screen, the panel is ordered late, and the mounting is the part nobody budgets time for. Printing, mounting and trimming all happen here, which is why an A1 board is an ordinary overnight job for us rather than a favour.

What we can turn around

Board sizes and what the clock allows
Board sizeSame dayOvernight, ready before 9amNotes
A1 (594 × 841 mm)YesYesThe most common urgent size
A0 (841 × 1189 mm)YesYesRegular overnight request
Larger than A0 and custom shapesSubject to capacityYesContour cutting available — see large-format printing and mounting

On the record rather than in theory: six A0 foamex boards ordered at 21:36 were delivered before 1pm the next day. Full specifications live on the 3 mm and 5 mm Foamex boards page.

Which thickness do you need?

Foamex thickness — what each one is for
ThicknessBest for
3 mm FoamexDisplay work, easel boards, exhibition panels, short-life signage
5 mm FoamexAnything that must stay flat: freestanding boards, larger panels, repeated handling
3 mm Dibond (ACM)Outdoor and long-life signs where rigidity matters — see Dibond printing

If the board is going outdoors or has to survive a season rather than an afternoon, the material comparison is worth two minutes: Foamex or Dibond — which board for outdoor signs?

Where do the boards go?

Flat and rigid work travels by van so it arrives undamaged, with the heaviest routes into EC1–EC4, W1, WC1–WC2, E14 and SW1. Boards for a pitch in the City or a stand at ExCeL are a routine morning run, timed for the start of the working day rather than the courier’s convenience.

Resolution150–300 dpi measured at final size on the printed piece

Send the file to info@silverimagelondon.com with the size, the deadline and the delivery address — or use WeTransfer for anything large. A problem spotted at 21:00 costs nothing; the same problem at 07:00 costs the deadline, so thirty seconds in our free preflight checker is worth it — it reads the file in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Can you print A1 boards the same day?

Yes, subject to capacity and when the file arrives. Boards sent earlier in the day are regularly mounted and delivered the same afternoon.

Do you mount A0 boards overnight?

Yes — A0 and A1 on Foamex is one of the most common overnight jobs on the press. Files and payment by 21:00 give the highest chance of a before-9am finish.

What thickness of Foamex do you use?

3 mm for display work and 5 mm where the board must stay flat. For outdoor or long-life signs we recommend 3 mm Dibond instead.

Is there a minimum charge for overnight boards?

Yes. Work produced outside normal hours carries a £95 minimum plus courier.

What file format is best?

A print-ready PDF in CMYK with 3 mm bleed. Resolution is measured at final size — a board read from two metres needs less than one studied up close.
